Alaska is notorious for fields of fireweed (a gorgeous pink flower that grows wild, particularly after a forest fire) that easily grow taller than a person. It's said that when the last fireweed blooms are finished, so is summer in Alaska. The original piece was a commission, but I loved it so much it had to be a print for others to enjoy.
